  1. My advice: be the very best friend you can be.
  2. many many more happy happy Austin returns!
  3. Next up for me is "Comes A Time," Neil Young.
  4. I'm really just trying to get to another page so I don't have to look at those slacks again!
  5. Maybe there's a licensing reason they didn't do a complete set, maybe Sony is stupidly holding back in case they decide to do a set in the future (we know they won't). It's frustrating, mildly so, though I confess. . .I do like the Presian structuring. .. because I do love Lester Willis!

  7. Getz A Go Go is now out in the "Originals" series.
  8. Latin? Hey, three years of Latin in boarding school. . . I'm qualified!
  9. Jim Anderson is an excellent audio engineer. If he says there's an audible difference, I'd be inclined to believe him. I hear the difference myself in my system as well.
  10. Keith Jarrett Trio, Live at Montreux
  11. Buy the Uptown for the music! (As well). Yes to your question. There has been a European release of the Argo trios. . .too bad we'll likely never see an American one. Is there anything else that would make a good fit for inclusion in a (possible? wishlist only?) Mosaic Select?
  12. Many many more happy ones!
  13. I thought Bush supporters enjoyed that? oh well live and learn.
  14. All Columbia/CBS/Sony products are I think gone. I wouldn't expect them to come back myself. . .
  15. C'mon, I think you'd favor a fascist dictatorship. Poor Britney. . . . To have to be in the spotlight while going through all this. That's awful.
  16. Sorry Flurin, just hadn't had enough coffee perhaps! She knows you loved her and will still love her.
  17. I've got the Gotham material by Johnny Sparrow on a Collectables cd. . . I agree, nice stuff!
  18. Flurin, so sorry to hear that. There have been far too much death in my life this year, and sorry to hear of this infiltration into yours. He loved you, the little guy, and he knows how you feel about him. I lost my good old tom cat Spot years and years ago. . . . I still miss him. I have my lovely tortoiseshell Marge still, over seventeen years old. . . . In time I bet you have another cat. They make such great companions.
  19. Yes, J. R. T. Davies did the transfers. . . originally most of the series was released with just his work, then they went forward and backward with Michael Keiffer doing some eq and sweetening, and he finished up the final bits after Davies had passed (I believe). The results are very very good. Knowing Davies the work was probably done from the best 78 rpm and test pressing sources, with his careful selection of styli and rpm, and very careful noise reduction.
  20. Many many HAPPY returns Marty!
  21. Am concluding James H. Breasted's excellent "Development of Religion and Thought in Ancient Egypt." Got about halfway through in mid-December and set it down for a spell in favor of a few PKD novels, have taken it back up.

    Woody Shaw

Probably. I can't access iTunes from work today but unless it's one of the new "Plus" downloads from EMI, it's DRM.
