    I still have a collection of 78s that belonged to my parents. Anyone have suggestions about "disposing" of them? I asked the buyer at Amoeba if they buy them, and he said "No". But I don't want to throw them away.

    I thought I was done with Mosaic (nothing bad, just trying to reduce box "clutter"), but this is an interesting turn of events. Haven't heard all these albums, but there IS some really good stuff there.

    I always liked this album. There's a relatively recent remaster that sounds great, too.

    Definitely sad. I know I saw him 2-3 times in NY in the 80s. Probably at the original Roulette. A one of a kind, for sure.

    Thanks. At this point I don't think I need to continuously upgrade unless there are major revelations.

    I would be interested to know how the new reissues compare to other relatively new ones, like the Mosaic Select Tolliver, and the Mosaic Clifford Jordan box

    Not necessarily "new releases", but in the past couple of years I discovered Clean Feed Records (Portugal) and the great variety of albums they put out. Not only that but their CDs are VERY affordable, especially when they have sales -frequently 50% off, about 5€!

    Saw him and his Trio about a year ago perform in a tiny neighborhood bookstore in SF. Great experience!
