  13. I talked to Todd last week and I know he's really psyched to get out of the rehab hospital and be a part of this. Mandel is one of the great ones.
  14. Isn't that Gadd? Oh my God no, it's Vinnie Colaiuta. The other guy's name I can't remember, but he played keyboards and sang. So did Tal and another guest singer. Then, at one p[oint, Herbie played the Keytar. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

  18. I remember once that I saw a show at Avery Fisher Hall that had the band of Morello, Haynes, Blakey and Roach. Blakey brought out Morello at the end of his set to play a kind of a drum battle together on a song. It was nice!

  21. That's my photo of Freddie on the cover. I haven't received my copy yet. These are from Todd Barkan's tapes made at the Keystone Korner. Toddy has lots. I know that they are talking about a Dexter Gordon date to be released, and I would guess, more to come from other artists.
  22. I talked to Azar a couple of weeks ago at Dizzy's in NYC. He's looking for gigs. Someone introduced him to me and I immediately said "Bridge into the New World!". He kinda like that. I haven't heard his recent recordings. though.
