Stompin at the Savoy
I found a lovely copy of this for around the original price and it arrived today. I'm a big fan of Benny Golson but somehow I don't have many albums under his name. Same with Farmer. I checked this out on Spotify and here we are... Great music! ghost of miles
Disc 1. I’d forgotten how much I enjoy the Horace Silver contingent (Farmer, Mobley and Hayes) on Dial “S” For Sonny.
Ed S
I've been really enjoying this the last couple of evenings. Funny thing is I never noticed that despite being a 6 disc set, the spine says Mosaic MD7-

Stompin at the Savoy
Agree about those Capitol Teagarden sessions. I don't have this set. Listening on youtube for now. Even when he breaks the rules, he's still following the rules! Edited August 11 by Stompin at the Savoy

Stompin at the Savoy
I finally scored a copy of this recently and have been happily going through it. The sound is so much better than anything I had of this material. Disk 4 at the moment.

I didn't expect to get much out of the Ellington '32-40 box as I had the material in other collections, but it is probably my all-time favorite Mosaic set.
