I wasn't open to his music at first, but I took the time to open my ears and learned to really appreciate his art. I had the good fortune to see Ware perform a few times in NYC. Ware on Go See the World only earlier this year, and I was impressed by the album's power and accessibility. Always loved his playing and was lucky to see him live with a marvellous quartet once. he played with such heart and soul and the world will be both poorer and quieter without him.
