I'm always wary of sales pitches that make no sense. I think "cash grab" and just move on. On the snap, crackle and pop of records, I recently was given a box of records by a friend who moved out of town and wasn't taking them for the ride. Lots of classic and soft rock such as early Doobies, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Bobby Caldwell, Ambrosia, Toto and the like. Even some 45s of classic tunes. Started playing them and while they looked to be in great shape both vinyl and cover, they played terribly. Then I noticed they were all a bunch of value buys, Rainbo pressings etc. Makes me think even a cleaning wouldn't matter.

I saw Ron Eschete live a few times. With Gene Harris, and once with his own trio. He was a fine jazz guitarist. R.I.P.

Wow that is a shock. A fine addition to the Gene Harris Quartet as long as that group existed. RIP.

Great guitarist who was centered in LA for many years, and then got a teaching gig in Portland about six years ago. He shattered his shoulder in a fall, and an MRI revealed Colon Cancer. I just heard about it and still can't believe it,

Had to binge from the benning to do m, but I'm now caught up on Hacks.

I'm two series behind on that. . . may not continue.

My favorite Marvel series too, though I don't have Disney + and haven't been able to watch the new season. Just finished "The Boys" season finale. I've enjoyed that series a lot. I don't think anyone ever had so much fun in a role as Karl Urban did playing Billy Butcher!
