I am not at all familiar with Bob Crosby, so I've decided to pre-order it to rectify that situation. Looking forward to hearing it. -

What exactly was Joe Henderson's issue with Michael Brecker's
Milestones replied to CJ Shearn's topic in Artists
I like Pat Metheny a lot, but have yet to come around much on Brad Mehldau. I saw Metheny a couple of years back with a "Side-Eye" trio, and it was definitely one of the finest concerts I have ever seen. Metheny and Brecker had a great musical partnership. -
Greatest LPs to never make it to CD

I can’t speak for CD Japan specifically but, generally speaking, there have been tariff changes that may be at work. The “de minimus exemption that allowed packages worth less than $800 to enter the U.S. duty-free” [USA Today] has been ended by the administration. Sites like Bandcamp and EBay now have notices that some items may involve new fees or may not be shipping to the U.S. There may also be lengthy delays at customs because no one really knows how to handle any of this. I have a job that is directly affected by these delays. For me personally. purchasing anything outside the U.S. is now off limits (probably the point).

As I suspected this set was announced today. I have heard about a third of this music, I like it, and I pre-ordered. -
Fake Bob Crosby Mosaic on Jazz Messengers?

I also just received the e-mail with the announcement. Interesting choice. I am not very familiar with Bob Crosby and will have to check out more of his music to decide if I will get the upcoming box set. I am glad that Mosaic is still going strong and putting out a wide variety of music. From Pharoah Sanders to Bob Crosby, that is certainly a wide variety. -

I have saddlebags on the bike and I found a bag that fit well behind me on the seat and that was what I packed with me. I did this trip most often in two days one way, one overnight stay--I love being on the road and "in that zone" that I find in mind and body and did 12 or 13 hour days or so. I did do camping twice, and stayed in motels three times. I have a tool bag with tools that have been useful that is strapped down low on the frame in the front. During these trips I had little to no issues at all. When I stayed more than two days in Ohio I mailed clothes to my parents and then back to supplement what I brought.

What live music are you going to see tonight?

Tuesday - Linda May Han Oh Quintet -
How did you pack for those trips? It's at least a 2200 mile round-trip, I imagine. Did you stay in motels, or camped? What did you carry with you as far as tools and supplies?
