  1. And many who can think they are bulletproof and immortal.
  2. I'm finding the same joy working from my family room by the sliding door rather than from a corporate cube. My cat and I hang out together and watch the squirrels and birds.
  3. Not familiar with the Valdes or the Smith, but I'm fully onboard with and own the other titles. The Martino contains "Consciosness" and "Live", both gems.
  4. Just received a communication from my employer that an employee at our location tested positive. The flavor of communication I received indicates that they do not believe I had direct contact with that person, and the campus is large, about 1600 people across two buildings and nine floors. Praying for the best for all involved (including myself !).
  5. Yes, it's as awesome as you could hope in both fidelity and performance. I think I just found my new go-to Rory Gallager!
  6. So do I. The 80% of "minor" occurrences include pneumonia and lung scarring. Just means you didn't need to be hospitalized and put on a respirator. I'm 65 and my wife is 68 and we are in the Pennsylvania epicenter, so we are definitely in for the duration except for essential supply runs.
  7. Got mine from Dell as an optional upgrade when I ordered the desktop PC in 2016.
  8. Much better than I expected. Got it as part of an ebay lot, but it may surprisingly prove to be a keeper for me.
  9. I'm happy with the Bose I have, and they weren't expensive, $100. https://www.amazon.com/Bose-Companion-III-Multimedia-Speakers/dp/B00CD1PTF0/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=bose+computer+speakers&qid=1584311272&s=electronics&sr=1-3
  10. Watched a livestreamed church service this morning. We rewatched this last night. Excellent and profound. Really about Esquire journalist Tom Junod, and Fred Rogers' impact on his life from their encounters while Junod wrote a proflie on him, rather than about Rogers himself.
  11. Buckingham-Nicks (their pre-Fleetwood Mac album)
  12. For old times sake, but I've never found it compelling overall, though the movie did drive home Springsteen for me, and Gil Scott-Heron's "We Almost Lost Detroit" is a masterpiece.
  13. Yes, I like that approach for sure. Mom and Pops are also maybe more likely more careful with hygiene at this time than kids at the chains.
  14. My parents are 90 and 86, and I am cancelling family trip to see them and introduce them to their great-grandson late April in Florida. Very disappointed, but we do what we need to do during this time. Lord willing, we can reschedule for later in the year. We can all give thanks for the technology available to us, which softens the isolation during this trying time. What would this have been like 25 years ago, let alone 1918? We are locked down tight here, governor of Pennsylvania has (rightly) shut down all of the PA suburbs of Philly. We are set for awhile to ride it out. I am good to work from home (prefer it anyways) and my wife already does 95% of her work from home. My daughter and 2-year-old grandson live with us, and my daughter's banking work is the main point of exposure, but the governor just shut down her credit union's county (Chester County, also where I work). The county where we live, Montgomery County, has been shut down for a few days already. Glad to have you guys to correspond with during this time.
  15. Grab 'em while you can. Three sides of great music ("Revelation" is a mess, wasting a whole side of the second album). I am also a fan of 'Four Sail' and 'Out Here', and of the concert version of 'Forever Changes' with Baby Lemonade doing the backup. It is magical in the same way the Brian Wilson 'Smile' concert is magical, a great performance of beautiful music (Lee is in wonderful shape) and also a powerful story of survival and redemption. One of my most played concert DVD's.
  16. Wonderful stuff. Spring for the full albums especially Forever Changes.
  17. Somewhat up to us.
  18. People are scared, and trying to come to grips with the unknown. It is about statistics and probabilities, and the less trips out, the less contact with people/surfaces/etc., the less likely one is to catch/spread this thing. It's not the plague, but it's also not just the flu. I have sympathy for people right now, and will bear with them. It will settle into a new normal soon enough. And it will pass in time.
