Watches & Detectives, a local basement band from my youth. Apparently the name was hit upon when the over-served lead singer forgot the words to "Watching The Detectives" The rest-- as they say is history. Brilliant!

That little bit quoted above reminds me of something you once said to the effect that with this period of Miles-- The Music Is In The Middle. That one simple statement always rang true with me, and helped in my understanding, appreciation, and ultimate enjoyment of this era of Miles' music.

I have a number of his Criss Cross dates. I especially like his work with Sam Yahel & Seamus Blake on the albums Circles and Views.

FWIW, Amazon is telling me December 17th, I'll believe it when I see it. The original release date was October 5th.

I'm pretty careful about what I eat (6'2", 166 lbs). No real secrets... I eat lot's of lean meats, fish, veggies, pasta/grains, nuts, and fruit. I probably eat vegetarian dishes 10 times a month. I tend to like Mediterrean style dishes, very healthy with lot's of wonderful flavors. I avoid/don't eat anything fried. Also no soda. I'm a bit of a cycling nut, so it's not uncommon for me to burn 7000 calories a week during the season. That said, I have to eat really well to keep the engine going.

Stevie Wonder- Boogie on Reggae Woman Heard this on the radio today, and the groove still sounds as good today, as it did back in the day. Can I play? Absolutely, Stevie!

Other than my father, probably most responsible for widening my jazz horizons. RIP Dick.
