Got to agree with both of these. "Hot and Cool" is quite worth getting, particularly for Carl Perkins, and "This Time the Drum's On Me" is VERY worth it. I'm with the school of thought that says since there's so little mid-50's Dexter on record, one might as well get it all. Agreed all the way. Particularly liked the Levey record.

I'm curious but where were the prices paid for some of these, if anyone remembers. -
Very good album; one of those unrecognized nuggets from Uptown.

Happy Birthday Evan. Hope it was a bright one

You're wrong. But don't let me stop you; you're enjoying your usual righteous indignation schtick-have at it. Amen, we live in an age of ridiculous attention being paid to so called celebrities, e.g. the Gosselins, and this is really no different. Witness how much attention was paid to the affairs of the Governor of South Carolina and John Edwards.

'Minister' is probably not an example you want to use. He was definitely ministering to a lot of people

I think this is the the real ad Tiger made

I thought it was an appalling low brow ad, kind of in line with Chris Albertson's commentary on the low depths of American culture. This one just reeks. I've also reported the post to which Dan responded. Just a personal attack.

Hey Goodie, you have to admit Zito was very good the send half of the season last year, after the All-Star game, he went 5-4, with a 2.83 ERA. I'd take that any day of the week for a number three starter. If he's even close this year, that's going to be a killer top three: Lincecum, Cain, and Zito. I think the Giants can go a long way in a weak National League. I would too if the season was only 80 games long. In short: Zito sucks. Zito really sucked tonight: 6 innings, 3 hits, 1 BB, 5 K's. Get rid of the bum.... See me in July. Then we see how smug you are. What the heck??? Zito has a very good second half of the season last year, has a great first start, and all of a sudden, that's smug? Geesh, give a player his due.... Take it one game at a time dudes. Saw his line the other day; great way to start the season.

Great stuff. So, he has nothing to say? Please...

To me the guy is a god and I just don't get some of the criticism here but to each his own I suppose. I've seen him in concert twice and am seeing him in mid June here in NJ. Can't wait. The Ronnie Scott album shows his awesome powers at their finest (I suppose no one will say I'm a spammer ) and can't wait to pick up his new one.

A lot of people do stupid shit. No way I'm getting up there. You have to remember that someone actually built it -
Pretty sad I'll have to agree but not too surprising, considering the kind of junk we see all over the place.

Sounded like quite a character! -
There was awhile there where Savoy was re-issuing some great stuff. I think I picked them all or most of them up. Unfortunately, it all ended too quickly.

Lost a few Cds (any maybe my mind) but losing a box or even misplacing that's hard. I did sit on a Mosaic once Nearly had heart failure.

It's hard to believe that we and that person could in the same breath be called Americans. My congrats to those who luckily can say they are not. -
Doesn't look anything like one of the BN covers.

I don't know about Girardi but Jeter and Mariano aren't going anywhere. They will be Yankees for the rest of their careers and that's the way it should be.
