  1. First this morning (early start here): Regardless what you think of Abercrombie; Surman, Gress & DeJohnette bring it on this one. Great album. Then: The Bee Hive box proving to be a great ROI because this album is fantastic. And now: Sipping coffee in prep for a PT appt in a little while which will include some dry needling. Take care of your back, folks.
  2. Nice. Thanks for the insight
  3. Differing thoughts on this after revisiting? NP: Finishing up my first listen to this set by way of CDs 3 & 4. Incredible stuff from both of these bands. Extremely happy I picked this up. Anyone rec the UCLA set from Sunnyside?
  4. I can name more McMaster titles that I like than dislike, that's for sure. I missed all the controversial hoopla back in the day and am thankful for that.
  5. Is Lewis playing an electric piano in the beginning there? Unreal the mood these guys could create with just a quartet.
  6. Back to this Eric Persons' playing is very enjoyable here. Nice mood on this one.
  7. I'll have to check that out. I have only passing familiarity with their Atlantic albums and haven't heard any on Apple.
  8. This is essentially a book-end type of set for these guys right? Early 50s Prestige to early/mid 80s Pablo. Well, maybe the Savoy sides came before the Prestige? Anyway, I enjoy the Echoes album but don't have any of the Prestige albums.
  9. Disc 2 Meditations on Integration is insanely good.
  10. Not to mention HL Hunt bankrolling them. It's indeed complex
  11. Pressure Sensitive. I dig the back cover of this album a little more than the egg on the front.
  12. Whoa - this is some rare stuff indeed
  13. Or at least one's perspective... And this is why I'm interested in this now too-high-priced book. There are several aspects of Ra's story and life that play into that coin telly-pro ecosystem that I highly suspect the BPs were possibly keen on, and it has me wondering if Kreiss addressed that in his work (and if not there, where else would it be discussed? Chusid's book?).
  14. I hear you. Maybe he's new to the biz and his soul hasn't been crushed just yet?
  15. Stuff like this is almost always an op of some sort. See: http://hrlr.law.columbia.edu/hrlr-online/the-anatomy-of-a-federal-terrorism-prosecution-a-blueprint-for-repression-and-entrapment/
  16. Not a terrible centre to have, btw. I've rec'd Lanquidity to a friend who found it too bizarre, which surprised me.
