Disk 2 has been playing non-stop in my place for the last 3 days. Great stuff !
(this post is taking ages to load - not suprising I guess as I've a simultaneous download of Autocad going on.. )
That's the big silver lining in North America when you get the white stuff.
Enjoy !
As for us - the deluge is followed by fog and a freeze rolling in from Scandinavia this weekend. Totally sucks ! (hose-head)
Hmm, I quite like the 'ad lib' feel to this date. 'Jimmy Gloomy' in nice form and some fine Roland Kirk 'creative embelishments'. Always good to hear Hayes on vibes too.
Following up with Tubby Hayes 'Tubbs In NY' (UK Fontana, stereo)
Must be all over the charity shops in the UK...
I don't think this title would ever appear in the charity shops - I'd faint if I ever saw one there in good nick. They would be more likely to filter it out and ebay it. For sure, that is what Oxfam is doing these days !
Looks like this set has now been 'yanked' from sale on Amazon - presumably because of the quality control problems - and its out of stock at HMV. Some discussion of the Amazon 'yank' over on the Hoffman Forums but suprisingly low-key.
I wonder if they'll try again in the New Year with an unglued version?
I've held off opening mine up so far - have been treating the inside of this beast like the Black Hole of Calcutta. Best ignored...
But heck, it can't be damper than the rest of the UK can it? That's my angle on it.
$3,000- reserve met - a week later!
just below this red vinyl Dexter Gordon Blows Hot and Cool! ($3,371)
And that Dooto even has some scuffs at the top right of the sleeve !
Utter, utter madness...
