  1. Hope it's a great one and many happy returns!
  2. I'm enjoying it as well. Only two more episode's to go. I've begun watching The Tudors, Season One.
  3. Re-reading this novel of divorce for possibly the fifth time? Absurd and wonderful. I've got a copy of the Ace original, but I don't throw that in my saddlebag!
  4. Once again I'm listening to What's Goin' On and thinking that Marvin quite clearly tells us what's ahead and what we need to do, like a voice from the wilderness.
  5. Hope you have a great day! Many happy returns!
  6. Hope it's a great one and many happy returns!
  7. Awesome news! I'm hoping I can do a job search and get hired soon myself.
  8. Hello Bill, hope all is going well.
  9. That's not raally that strange. . . that set was released to retail outlets, one of the first to be so, and so likely to be a few copies bouncing around surfacing now and then.
  10. I'm going to hold off on the Tolliver and Rivers for now, but the Lunceford has been pre-ordered!
  11. I don't have any specific information to contribute other than to say I really enjoy the Zoot - Castro cd. I've read just a little bit that mirrors what you've reported, and can only share your intrigue. If these begin to surface, I'll look forward to some fascinating listening.
  12. Yardbird Suite is a Savoy date, and a good one.
  13. I don't disagree. Messy bop is the worst.
  14. Started watching Season 2. Better looking dvd picture on this season.
  15. Hope it's great wherever you are! Many happy returns!
  16. Definitely no reason not to hang with the box, or to pick up the box set if you only have a few of these. I think I got the box set for like fifteen dollars including shipping.
  17. Okay guys, I've compared Jazz Goes to College and Gone with the Wind from the box set against the original cds. I'm on the fence. They do sound a little different, but not really significantly. The box set versions are mastered LOUDER than the early cds. Hoffman board people would prefer that not to be the case I'd guess. There does some to be a bit of a difference between the two versions, but essentially it sounds like the same mastering with a bit of eq difference, possibly related to the loudness, or a pass from an equalizer. They don't sound significantly different to me. I'd invite other opinions as I'm not in one of those "frames of mind" to do extensive comparisons this week.
  18. A moment to remember forever! (Obviously). Thanks for sharing Chuck.
  19. I need to get more American Music cds. In due time.
  20. Yeah, it's a family site.

Thanks for the headsup Mr. Jones! Ordered these from Worlds.
  22. True, no photos in my booklet either, but I wouldn't want to be without the glossy cover and the inner tray photo. Nice special thanks to Jim Sangrey for "song ideas." Jim should be thanked repeatedly for all his effort in distributing knowledge of Monday and her music.
  23. Just chuck timepieces altogether. I haven't worn one regulary since about 1977, and it's been no problem for me. I'm thinking . . . well I better not put it here.
  24. Dusty Groove had them listed yesterday, though not at the prices available from Europe.
  25. I finally picked that up a year ago. Interesting set.
