Next two are:

Joe Chambers - Double Exposure

Woody Shaw - Love dance

This is from an ad in the digital version of the next issue of Downbeat.

Great choices!

Agreed.

Love Dance is one of my desert-island discs.  :)

I only now realize that Catalysts Perception isn’t part of these series but is coming out in the excellent Jazz Dispensary series by Craft. So apparently the Muse catalogue is open to more parties. Great news

If my understanding is correct, Craft is a division of Concord, and Concord currently owns the Muse catalog (which they've criminally neglected, in typical Concord manner).

your understanding is indeed correct.

the Jazz Dispensary instagram account was one of the most irritating uses of social media by a major record label that I have seen in a while.

Glad to be social medialess :) their reissues are excellent.

Love Dance and Double Exposure are two titles I have been hoping would come out on CD for years. Concord found a fresh way to piss me off by making them LP-only.

You can get Love Dance on CD on this set, not overly expensive on the secondary market.  But Concord does find endless ways of ticking me off.  Expecting them to come out with 34-minute compilation CD of 'Woody Shaw Plays For Lovers' around valentines day, and ignore his catalog for CD's otherwise.

I'm fairly proud of my "Ken Peplowski for Lovers" playlist on Spotify... Not saying it's better than his regular albums, only saying it works better for me...

These recent Muse reissues are focused on music that is, for the most part, not of interest to me. There are a large number of Muse recordings not yet reissued that do very much appeal to me.

However, as I have the original  Muse CD issues of the music I  care for, no worries on my part.

Brötzmann did release an LP titled 14 Love Poems (inspired by Kenneth Patchen), which is quite excellent.

I agree that record is excellent. Not sure I’d put it on having a romantic diner with my wife though…
