    • I was going through some old digital photo albums for my wife's Aura picture frame when I came upon some pictures from a visit to Mosaic Records in 2003. I had totally forgotten that my friend Rob took a picture of me and Michael Cuscuna.
    • John Jenkins is also a sideman on - Cliff Jordan - Blue Note. • Well, supposing we are talking about the Birdland broadcast of 30 June 1950 (date indicated in the Bruyninckx discography), this discography DOES indicate Little Jimmy Scott on that recording of "Embraceable You" that also featured Bird P. and Fats N. but not Bud P. (but Walter Bishop jr.). "Bird's Diary" by Ken Vail (published in 1996) places this gig that yielded "Embraceable You" with Bird and his cohorts (and Little Jimmy Scott as the vocalist - sic!) at 21 May 1950. And again Walter Bishop jr. on piano. But the "Bird Lore" discography by Koster and Mobach (published in 2002, i.e. more recelty than the most recent Buryninckx) not only gives 15 or 16 May 1950 as the date but also says "probably" the vocalist was "either Chubby Newsome or Little Jimmy Scott".  The Discogs page of the "One Night In Birdland" LP on CBS has the following comment: "The track D2 (Embrayceabole You) is wrongly credited to have been sung by Chubby Newsome, but it was Jimmy Scott who actually did it." And here the date again is 15/16 May 1950.  So which is which now? The liner notes to the Chubby Newsome LP on Official ("The Original Hip Shakin' Mama"), BTW, do not mention any live appearances of hers with Charlie Parker.
