  1. Unfortunately, that great Honda ad was followed by the most irritating ad in TV history: a huge choir doing there best to recreate the sounds of a washing machine at various stages in the cycle.
  2. Abso---chuffin'-lutely! Furthermore, a totally redundant exercise anyhow, 7 or 70 greatest albums....
  3. I've always found the cello of Vincent Courtois very engaging. Whether it's the musical environment he's playing or simply his manner, his contributions to Louis Sclavis' or Yves Robert's discs always appear impressive. Very 'European' if you know what I mean, many recordings can be found on ECM.
  4. I heard Dave Binney stretch out to Et Cetera a few years ago, managed to get it on disc if anyone would like a copy.
  5. No luck at AAJ then either?
  6. You haven't managed to bring Che back from the grave then?
  7. I'll be enjoying the Impusle studio box in a few days courtesy of Amazon!
  8. One of my favourite BNs. I bought the (in)Complete Impulse Coltrane box from that pesky Amazon.co.uk.
  9. Guy needs our help....
  10. I find this fascinating having visited Verdun twice, (once in a neutralised section of the Circuit des Mines halfway through the stage) because like anything to do with mass suffering, war etc. I can't keep a lid on it; the floodgates are at breaking point as soon as I approach these places. You must have strong stomachs if you managed to root around there Of course, I'm not being disrespectful there, different people react so different to situations anyhow.
  11. Aaaarghhhh......................................... Ella & Duke or Jobim? I don't normally like 'selections' so I'm tempted by the Ella but the Jobim will be soooo beautiful..............
  12. Does this count?
  13. And I'm very pleased
  14. Nothing on Jazz UK's site yet for Dean St during May; they have all of April though. Would be very tempted to journey down for either of these guys. Cheap train ticket, cheap hotel and some beer money....
  15. All the best!!!...make sure you get a bit of , a bit more and the right amount to keep you right for more , a bit more ......
  16. There's a TV chef over here who cooked this stuff up on TV as an appetizer. I kid you not ! Hugh Fearnley- Whatshisface? I remember this 'earth-mother' type who wanted her friends to 'share' her childbirth experience. TV Dinners? Was that the show?
  17. Anorak....
  18. Aggro? nah, it was a piece of cake I'm now listening to the intro to Bitches Brew...whew! now I need a decent printer to, like you said, compile a nice little set.
  19. Done! Thanks fellas!
  20. All this 'give birth in silence' malarky.....it's just crap. No-one will dispute that Ms. Holmes wasn't howling like a banshee because all the clinical staff will have been given huge amounts of cash. I sat through the first 5 hours of my son's birth during which Joanne had no pain relief; after that the drugs started flowing for another 17 hours. Unless Katie has some kind of evolutionary advanced pelvis (albeit a very, very nice pelvis), I'm sure there'll be at least a few yowls.
  21. Well deserved if you ask me! Congratulations fellas
  22. All the best Flurin...having the day off?
  23. no, it should actually download. What are you trying to download anyway? GTA.wmv?? GTA as in Grand Theft Auto? Check whether there are actual seeders for this torrent. Hi John, no i'm trying to get the 'lost quintet' stuff which was discussed above, that is just a screenshot from Wikipedia! But it accurately displays what I'm seeing. Help!!!!
  24. Now...should I be getting a box appearing like this for hours on end, with no visible sign that info is downloading?
