I wouldn't want to drink any slop that had the A B name attached to it. -

In some states, you would be required to obtain the permission of the estate but in others not. There is no uniform rule.

RIP to both of them. Obviously, you can never know them but Carrie Fisher had an acerbic view of life that many of us could probably relate to.

Yes, congrats. Received an email a few days ago. -
I'm not sure what nominal value is but if a merchant doesn't declare the retail value on the customs form they can get into trouble with the customs authorities of that country.

Thanks for posting Jim. Talk about up tempo. Calling the Red Cross

Couldn't agree more, especially when Marvin Miller isn't. He wasn't on the freakin' ballot. No objection to Schuerholz. He built winners in KC and Atlanta.

I have several Bethlehems. Among others I like Stan Levey. Max Bennett. Claude Williamson. Also Daddy Plays the Horn by Dexter.

It never occurred to me to organize Mosaic sets by the Mosaic catalogue number. To me, it wouldn't make sense any other way.

Making my way through Braquo. It's a noir French detective series. Very good. On Hulu I had previously watched Spiral. Also on Hulu but the first four (out of five) seasons are also available on Netflix.

Currently reading Dr. Zhivago. I'm not finding it an easy read.

Do we know when the Mosaic is coming out?

I watched this on a flight home from Germany and, too, thought it was excellent. Gripping.

Sorry to hear this. He was a fine trumpeter.

Tinker Tailor is one of the best things I've ever seen. I saw it when it first came out and proceeded to read all the books. I own the DVD and easily watch it once a year. It's faithful to the book, which I've read a few times. If you enjoy it, you must get Smiley's People, which is also outstanding. The series with Alec Guiness (who is Smiley) were the ones that LeCarre was happiest with. I didn't think the film version of Tinker Tailor was all that good; a big handicap was trying to tell the story in two hours plus it suffered in comparison to the TV series. It couldn't fill those shoes.

I liked both Branagh and Henriksson and although I've only read a couple of the books, I think the Branagh version may have closer to the books. Both were produced by the same Swedish production company.

I'm not sure I follow that logic. Kudos to him and his agent for getting all they could because careers are short. However, to say he earned it. No, he didn't. The Rangers won't lose out either I'm sure as they, in all likelihood, have an insurance policy on him. Of course, they may have to pay higher premiums on future insurance policies.
