I really think that talking about trading or making cds of illegal recordings violates what Jim has asked. It's not a law but something that won't get this board in trouble. We shouldn't violate the spirit. Hans is absolutely right although I hope he didn't mean that he's leaving the Board. As far as cdrs vs. Definitive type of companies, while Wolff may be right, the difference is that we don't want this Board drawn into any difficulties. What Disconforme does is up to others to police but we don't want this Board to be policed by third parties. It's up to police ourselves so others won't.

I've just started listening to the Richards Select and frankly the first four selections, Annotations of the Muses, is just a little strange, not exactly jazz. I hope the rest of this Select doesn't follow this pattern.

Like Hans I'll probably pass on this set. My feelings and perceptions is that it's all about Buddy and his extended solos turn me off.

I had never heard of Ron's statement until now but I find nothing wrong with some of those old masterings. They sound good to me and without a better alternative I'm sticking with what I have.

For me, it's like buying a used car; you don't always know what you're getting, even though it's probably ok. I just like (and have always liked the idea of new).

Stretching is key. I have a five minute routine I do every work day. Also you can do exercises just sitting in your chair and try to get up and move around hourly. I actually brought a timer into work just to remind me to do that.
