The only 1971 I have is the April, 1971 CD set from the Fillmore East- tie dye cover and I was listening to it driving to inspections yesterday- it's becoming one of my favorite CDs to listen to! I have to get some other 1971 shows- Speaking of Box sets- how about a 5 CD set of Jerry solos ala Parker Mosaic?

Wow!! That's cool!! I read Style Weekly almost every week- and I missed this article!! I want to purchase 55-59....anyone have a good place to buy?? (ie- inexpensive?)

I live in the sticks and have dialup and it's SLOW......perhaps the Avalon Ballroom the Dr. ordered........ or a few Download series- I'd pay some cash to defray your purchase costs.....(hmmm- is this legal??). No harm asking!! BTW- DP36 is awesome- I just listened to it beginning to end last week.....

I going to try to see them August 26 in Atlantic City at the Trump Taj Mahal....I don't have tickets yet because I wasn't sure my wife and I would be in the area- I grew up near AC and our plans weren't set. Now I know I'll be up there so we'll try to score tickets at the venue. There's seats left on Ticketmaster but they're not the greatest. I've missed their last few tours and I want to catch this one!

I enjoyed him at Baseball Tonight. He was also great at the College World Series. I'm going to miss him interacting with Kruk- boy they were a pair. Maybe He'll end up at XM Radio- I enjoy their baseball coverage. The one bonehead thing he said was that the Tigers should be "contracted" when all that talk about getting rid of a few teams (stoopid Bud Selig ). The Tigers were terrible a few years ago- look at them now. I hope Harold ends up somewhere soon- great analyst/announcer!

Rhino has released DPs 7-22 at retail stores so it makes sense that they would release others. Plus they have release different sets (Winterland, etc.) on the retail level as well.

what would the price be?

Why should I buy this when I have the Prestige Box (big blue one)? Any difference other than the unissued music?

Where's Sophie's parents in all of this?? I'd like to hear their side of it. My daughter's in kindergarten and while I'm surprised how things have changed since I've gone to kindergarten......thankfully the school doesn't have rules this extreme- or I hope so....

I've seen them a number of times in Richmond, VA at numerous clubs, festivals, beer fests, etc. They're a lot of fun!

I like the female vocalist Mosaics...... There's a lot of alt tracks on the Baily set- does this detract from it?? Opinions?? Talk me into buying it!

I attended the games in Greensboro, NC Thurs/Sat. Best games: UNC Wilmington- Geo. Washington and Wichita St.- Tennesee Best band: Southern University- they had plenty of horns and plenty of rhythm Best cheerleaders: Geo. Washington Best mascot: Wichita St......their mascot was disturbing- like a frankenstein monster or a stubbed out cigarette. LOTs of Duke fans......I don't like Duke but they looked great dismantling GW on Sat......I was most impressed with Wichita St.- they play great fundamental basketball and they have a good draw in George Mason. Greensboro Coliseum is a great venue to see games. Missouri Valley Conference has 2 teams left, Colonial has one....where is Big 10? ACC? I had so much fun I hope to attend first/second round games in 2007 (Winston-Salem, NC) and 2008 (Raleigh, NC)

Speaking of DP- I heard a BBC concert of them on XM Deep Tracks last Sunday evening. It was a few weeks before the release of Machine Head and the concert had a cheesy MC introducing each song...Highway Star, Strange Kind of Woman, Smoke on the Water, Maybe I'm a Leo, Lazy and one other I forget (but from Machine Head)....and an encore of Lucille.....great show!

DPs 36 and 33 just arrived!! Can't wait to listen to them! Side note- I chose media mail- it shipped 1/30 and arrived today......the Dead store is in Crozet VA (west side of Charlotteville) and I'm in Powhatan, VA- about 60-70 miles....and it took 2 weeks.

Umm...what? Maybe I got the dates wrong- The Dead's last 2 tours where you could buy CDs of individual show or shows and the Dead provided the artwork so you can compile your own CD. Anyway- I have DPs 33 and 36 arriving any day now. Can't wait! Orchiddoctor- thank you for the information on the flac program- I'll look for it.

Ok the Dead posted *another* download (Volume 10) that I would like to have yet I'm downloadably challenged........ Why can't they sell these as CDs like their 2004-05 tour and let me download the art? I call them periodically to request this and all I hear is "that's a good idea- I'll pass it along."

That's a pretty idyllic setting! Thanks Jim! Lots of elbow room around here.....nearest house is 3/10 mile and across the street is 2500 acres owned by a catholic order of nuns. Very quiet and rural- but no DSL or cable available....just dial-up. Thank goodness for directv and xm radio..... A truck is almost a requirement to live in this area- comes in real handy. My wife and I would love to purchase a 1960s VW Bug convertible for weekend jaunts. I used to have a 1973 Orange VW Superbeetle- what a great car......I look on Ebay on occasion.....

Meet Lucy (my daughter named her), a 1967 Ford F-100, 352 V8 engine, 78k original miles- get's 11 mpg downhill with a tailwind. Dump runs on weekend, mulch, gravel, take the canoe out for fishing on the James River. Also- an Ebay purchase!
