  1. It took me a while to make up my mind. I'm glad I decided to get it in the end, some very fine music especially from the Jazztet.
  2. Sounds like a nice little piece of kit. £59.00 in the UK though.
  3. My congratulations too, good luck.
  4. For starters On Green Dolphin Street My Ship There Will Never Be Another You
  5. Happy Birthday Chris
  6. The Denon Savoy's were a nice series. Most were straight reissues of the original albums. As they were budget priced it didn't matter to much. I doubt if many, if any,got a domestic cd release at the time. Well worth picking up. Savoy had their own individuality.
  7. Wishing you a very happy birthday.
  8. Happy Birthday
  9. Managed to visit sixteen so far. For the moment Oregon is a state I'd like to visit.

    Sonny Fortune

Horizon album covers for the record.
  11. Ward is very effective on some of the early Dollar Brand's on Enja. Also on Enja are 2 cds recorded live at Yoshis in 1992 by the Ed Blackwell Project (Graham Haynes, Ward, Mark Helias and Blackwell). Both recommended.
  12. I still have my original mono album. Ear in the run out, NYC label, jacket is 43 West 63rd St.
  13. Belated greetings Brad. Trust you had a great day.
  14. I used to have the double vinyl, bought soon after it's release. Looked at it in the bin for several weks before I took the plunge. Sold it a few years back in one of my periodic clear outs as it wasn't earning its keep. A borderline decision. As I recall a couple of standout tracks but some less compelling stuff too (my opinion only).
  15. I agree. I still have my old vinyl. My introduction to Yusef I think.
  16. Here's the line up courtesy of Lord Cliff Lee (cnt) Consuela Lee Moorhead (p) Bill Lee (b) Gerald Sonny Brown or Billy Higgins (d) Grace Mimms (vo). All the players are listed as singing-that's what probably put me off.
  17. Don't recall the details of the Strata East but when it first came out it didn't look that interesting.
  18. Happy Birthday
  19. Happy birthday MG (from another oldie)
  20. There at least two, probably more duo cds by Bley and Peacock. I've had cds on Owl and Soul Note.

  22. Ditto.
  23. Nice one Jim! Thanks for posting
  24. A nice set. Regretably it doesn't find it's way on to my player very often these days.
  25. Yes, Rega 3 here.
