  1. No but I miss the facility. The mono/stereo switch was especially useful on those fake reprocessed for stereo records which often sounded awful in the normal stereo mode.
  2. Definitely avoid rip off prices. My Braxton Aristas went for £3-£4 on ebay (sadly!).
  3. Happy Birthday
  4. Nice date. The vinyl sound was good and punchy too.
  5. Congratulations!!
  6. Have a very happy birthday CT.
  7. Looks like I'll be getting the JJ & K and the Farmer singles. I think I have a good bit of this on vinyl but what the hell!
  8. Happy Birthday Nate. Keep up those Cadence reviews.
  9. There's a JMT cd 'Cold Sweat plays JB'. Leader is Craig Harris with Eddie E J Allen, Booker T Williams, Kenny Rogers, Brandon Ross and several others. Guests include Arthur Blythe, Olu Dara and David Murray.
  10. Many happy returns Marty, have a great day. Hope it's nicer in Florida than it is here.
  11. Happy Birthday Rob
  12. Can't be sure but maybe the Art Blakey 3 lp set on French RCA.
  13. Happy New Year everyone
  14. The Shrine is great music, some of the very best Getz on record. His best period imo.
  15. Head Man is right, these are the one to get, plus Sheop's For For Trane.
  16. A Very Merry Christmas everyone.
  17. Jimmy Ponder; A Guitar Christmas
  18. I'm not a great lover of the normal run of ECMs but if pressed I'd go for the Art Ensemble, Lester Bowie and Codona. Whoops forgot the Jarrett Standards Trio.
  19. I'll have to dig this one out and give it a spin. Don't recall anything much about it.
  20. Thanks for posting Rooster Ties. Nice to see that.
  21. You can't go far wrong with these recommendations.
  22. Timely, I was enjoying the Bill Evans collaboration on the complete Evans Verve set yesterday. Can't say I've got very much else apart from a smallish group on an Impulse lp. I've certainly not heard the Skye recordings.
  23. Yes and yes. FM is fine in the UK and there's a little jazz to listen to.
  24. The last time I remember lps being sold was at an Ekaya concert in the late 80s. Trombonist Dick Griffin wandered through the audience selling his lps.
  25. My routine too, but less frequently. I'd better go and do it now.
