  1. That would be my recommendation too. Yes, I think mine too.
  2. Morning coffee time, plus jam donut.
  3. "Stopping Time" is a fascinating read. Nothing technical.
  4. Many happy returns Dan.
  5. I've had this for a while. It's fine but I missed something, maybe I expected too much.

    Charles Brackeen

Another for Rhythm X and the Siklhearts. It would be great to get Charles working again.

    Rod Levitt

Definitely a case here for reissuing the Levitt RCAs. I'd be all over them too.
  8. Pretty essential in Japan, especially for reissues. Gives the artist, title as well as the other information mentioned above in Japanese. Needed if like the TOCJs all the visible info is in English.

    Air re-issues

Although I have the vinyl, this has to be good news.
  10. Ah! The good old days when WIRE covered jazz.

    Ian Hamer RIP

Sad news, a stalwart of the British scene.
  12. Happy Birthday Bob, have a great day.
  13. Sad news, a real star. Loved his worn hat in so many westerns.
  14. Happy Birthday Bill. Come back soon.
  15. Many happy returns Jim
  16. Second visit to Phoenix so it must have something. Coming from green and pleasant England it makes quite a change.

    Frank Lowe

    Remember this one?
  18. JIm I've not been to Texas, I'd like to be able to say I've been there, even if only for a day.
  19. Thanks for the input evryone. We'll try and fit in as many (not too sure about the Miracle Tortilla though) as we can but I want to end up at Chama for the railroad so we'll be covering quite a bit of ground. Another question, should I divert into Texas for Guadalupe Natl Park, if I go that way we'll probably have to miss White Sands?

The Flam is especially good and a favourite of mine, the Soul Notes are fine too. The final recordings on CIMP are a little sad, not surprising in the circumstances but he does make a telling appearance on Billy Bang's Vietnam. There's also Black Beings on ESP, but I've not palyed that for a while. I recently sold my vinyl Duo Exchange - good stuff really but not the music I'm listening to now.
  21. I think I've got nearly all I want from this on vinyl. EXCEPT the opening tracks with Mobley. Gotta hear them.
  22. Belated birthday greetings.
  23. Jewel In The Lotus Doesn't played a lot (inevitable I suppose with so much else around) but I have fond memories of it. I especially like the 'water filled garbage can', must be first in the instumental lexicon.
