  1. Reminds me of the time I was with an old friend, Norman, at a strip club (the Yellow Rose, about 1978 or so) and one of the most beautiful dancers walked up to him and grabbed his arm and asked "Are you Randy?" I burst out laughing and I seemed the only one who thought that was funny.
  2. I would think we would be Organissimoans.
  3. You have every reason to be proud! AWESOME!
  4. Well, tomorrow is "Grateful Dead Movie" day. I bought tickets to a showing here in Austin;should be a fun event, fun just seeing who shows up!
  5. I'm now caught up on this AMC version. I of course have never seen "the original," but this is a good show, well-paced, good cast.
  6. Good to hear gentlemen!
  7. I'm not sure I'd call myself "Okay" but there's no fires near me. It's awful, and I wish the best to anyone near the fires.
  8. That's too bad Greg. I was entertaining possibly making it up there for the gig. . . it was so much fun last time.
  9. Also available from Dusty Groove. Great stuff.
  10. Many many happy happy returns!
  11. That's an interesting one. I think Chuz was from Canton, Ohio, where I was born.
  12. Airto and Flora would be the draw for me.
  13. And I think people hadn't really grasped how Ellington had influenced many and listened strongly to all occurring all the time. The dedication seems more and more appropriate from decades further on.
  14. I'm one of the few people in the world it seems who likes the Columbia remastered version and hasn't investigated ones released since.
  15. I snoozed and missed setting this up to record until yesterday, so I'm going to watch the first two on demand and then the other two on the dvr this week. Looks really good.
  16. Many many many happy returns.
  17. I filed and sent my check on April 11, 2011.
  18. Geez, I feel old, I bought this when it was first released. Love it, have for decades!
  19. Thanks for the update. This is likely the same series that Dusty Groove has been selling for 14.99. Excellent sound (in my opinion) on this series.
  20. A few episodes of Witchblade, including the one with Roger Daltry.
  21. And it sort of shows by omission what Elvin brought to the mix.
  22. I don't have the new release yet but I have these on collector's tapes and yes, it's a very good show indeed. It's a bootleg of course. Why the family hasn't brokered deals to have a dozen or more releases like this official. . . I do not know, other than it's I guess not profitable. Look at how the Monk family releases came and went (but I'm happy to have them all),
  23. Many many happy happy returns!
  24. Quite an interesting episode of Fringe. Started watching Weeds, season Six, after finishing Mad Men, season Four.
  25. My favorite Wayne Shorter cover.
