  1. Perfectly understandable Pimp Daddy Nessa Flex.
  2. Many more happy ones!
  3. Well, I've ended up ordering this without the headphone output in a different chassis (the original black Decware chassis) to use as a preamp. Ears I trust tell me that I should prepare for amazing sound. I'm a few weeks away from delivery.
  4. Dr. Magic Tickle Jazzbo
  5. Many many more happy ones!
  6. This time I'm Crazy Eyes Lonson Flow!
  7. I kindof lost track Flurin as I vowed not to rebuy these things over and over and ingnorance is bliss in some cases. I don't believe there are "supersavers" of those titles but I could be wrong.
  8. They sound identical to the Japanese 16bit versions of the same titles. (If they're the domestica jewelcases).
  9. Amen.
  10. So you and Hans are talking of the same set, this one: http://www.mosaicrecords.com/prodinfo.asp?number=223-MD-CD
  11. Yes, still there. Still a fantastic restaurant.
  12. Glad to see you posting again S! I'm coping mi amigo. Been quite a stressy time for me the last 18 months or so. . . . Building stamina and tolerance in me unwillingly. I don't get out to jazz much here in Austin. Looking forward to seeing Rickie Lee Jones at the end of the month.
  13. And if you can afford it and want real Mexican food, check out Fonda San Miguel. Like going on vacation. Great food.
  14. I enjoy this box, it's a well chosen overview, and the notes are fun to have. I've compared a lot of these to other sources and in my opinion Sony has done a decent job in the remastering and sound restoration.
  15. I've come to the conclusion (based on hearing "official recordings" alone) that any edition of the band with Miroslav Vitous was the one to beat.
  16. Have to agree with you, I've been a supporter because he reminds me of an old friend, but he's not delivering the goods!
  17. €66,98 + postage. . .not too bad.
  18. Didn't realize they are reissuing those three albums; good news, as they are very very good ones. I'm a stone cold Weston nut. I think I have all the official releases save one Italian lp. And I'll confess to having a number of unofficial releases. I'm in awe of his work.
  19. There was definitely an early digital cd series of Arista/Savoy releases. I don't remember ever seeing a Barron, but I used to own Cannonball/Nat and Coltrane/Hardman items, Sun Ra, and a few others.
  20. I would bet you can find a used or not yet sold copy around. This was in print a long time! There is a Definitive collection that almost completely mirrors it, but in my opinion the sound on the MCA is better and there are copious and helpful notes. I'd say see if you can find a copy of the MCA for a spell. It's not likely to show up in print again as the same thing, but one never knows.
  21. In my opinion, this would be a worthy purchase if you didn't have the material elsewhere! This is really fine music. If you like the forties material in the Centennial box, this is a go!
  22. Sorry to hear about those health issues! Dietary changes are hard for older persons (talking about myself here) to make. I need to do better at those I try to. . . .
