I'm glad the great music finally saw the light of day, but as someone who bought Joe's Milestone 8-disc box set long ago, I can't help but wonder why it wasn't included. Then I took another look at the box set, and it was titled "The Milestone Years." So that's why it didn't say "Complete" or such...

Yeah, it was the conents of the Milestone albums - great box set.  And I'm in for this expanded Lighthouse CD issue.

I think there was one (just one) previously unreleased studio track on the Milestone box: “In The Beginning, There Was Africa…” (from the Canyon Lady sessions).

But other than that — no other extra material (live, or studio) that wasn’t previously on all of the original albums.

I have that Milestone box, too. Great set. I remember many of us grabbed it a long time ago as a remainder for (I think) less than $20.

Looking forward to the new Lighthouse set. Hopefully it's as good as the Lee Morgan box.

Just as I bought the "Jazz Patterns" reissue (though I generally do not buy new vinyl) I am all in for the 3 cd set of this Lighthouse material!
