We are waiting for it here in the Cleveland area.  Today has been calm and peaceful, though quite cold.  Still going around and doing things, the last being dinner at a German restaurant.

So far, not as much as feared, although what there has been has been mostly ice, so yuck on that.

As long as the power stays on, it should be a nice hunker.

It's been 25 all day; but not windy, so not so bad.

No snow yet.  Maybe ice on the roads tomorrow morning.

Maybe 3-4 inches in Kansas City, but very cold (3-4 degrees all day) and windy.  Dry snow is a plus 😀

Take this storm seriously. It's a sleeper, but the snow piles up fast. Up to 7 inches now. My institution has already closed Monday.

Ice and sleet with freezing rain coming. Freezing rain causes power issues so I hope it's much less than forecasted.

Yes. That's the absolute worst. Back in 2022, we lost power for 9 days due to freezing rain. It's definitely something to take seriously. Flashlights, generators (if you own one), and camping stoves! Plus—lots of blankets. Oh! And "pedestrian crampons" really helped.

My family in the Texas hill country had a pipe burst and have dealt with graupel, but are otherwise ok.  Supposed to warm up a bit and then refreeze, so may be messy soon.

My wife is in Atlantic City for work, and they had 6" overnight.  I'm supposed to go join her on Wednesday, hopefully flights are closer to normal by then.

We're at around a foot right now and it's windy, blowing all over the place. The snow's still coming down hard, but I imagine that by tonight it'll relax a bit. We are supposed to get around two feet!

We've been getting sleet for a couple of hours on top of about 8" of snow.  Just hope it stays sleet and doesn't turn to freezing rain.  Temp 17, real feel 3, gonna be tough if we lose power.

Yeah, huge fear if the power cuts out, then I can't watch the football conference championships.

Youse guys in Northern NY are supposed to get it the worst of all . Don't go out! Here in Queens it's already turned to sleet. I don't know how many inches we got, because as Phil Woods once said to an empty room at the Half Note, "I'm getting snow blind from the table cloths!"

Here in RI looks like about 10 inches so far. Starting snowing around 9:00 am. The temp is up to 21 degrees from single digits this morning. The snow is very fluffy.

About a foot or more of snow and the drifts are up to my knees.  I've shovelled twice and you can barely tell.  It's still coming down hard, so it's definitely going to be work from home tomorrow...

As an aside, I always thought "youse" or "yous" was a Philly thing, based on my regular visits and living in the area between 2008-2023 (and still visiting regularly). 

Is it a upstate/non-NYC thing as well, and I simply never heard it up there?
