Has anyone preordered this? It looks like it hasn't shipped yet, right? I'm waffling on this one.

Yea I gave those a listen and I liked it more than I thought I would... This is presenting a dilemma.....

I'm on the fence with this one as I'm not familiar with a lot of the artists. Is there any streaming/digital stuff of these musicians that would give me a taste of what will be on box set?

Am I missing something? What's the point of this?

For those of you interested... the Itunes store has it on preorder for a ridiculous $10.99.... Normally I'd like physical discs and the liner notes, but this is a can't miss price for me.

I'm kinda with you... They started out fantastic.. and the last few iterations of the band and their live releases have been disappointing.

I grabbed this as soon as I saw it. I've got a ton of McCoy but still miss him. Probably saw him perform live more than anybody else.... maybe 20 times... Don't like Louis Hayes but I can work with Avery Sharpe...

I think they are pretty good, not great. Their dominant appeal is to a younger generation which is a good thing in general. Look if this gets some teens and twenty-somethings into jazz... great... If they stick with it, they'll find much much more and become us in 30 years ....

I've got a question for you... What's the best Miles record when Carlos Santana was in the band?? Preferably live...

Is there any plan (e.g., Mosaic) for someone to clean this up and release it in a clean, newly mastered box?

Having got through the set for the first time, the one disc I was the most impressed with was the solo sessions of Disc 2. Sound on Disc 1 was rough.

The boxes take up a ton of space.....I'm mainly trying to preserve them as long as possible without wasting space. This is what I tried to do but I'm not happy with it. IMG_0367.pdf

How do you guys store these? I purchased a vinyl box a long time ago and have about 50-60 sets/booklets but I don't think my setup is good for long term care. I know the booklets are valuable. Thanks,

Which discs or sets are harder to hear?

It's such a bad commercial because she doesn't seem comfortable in the red high heels and it's been played like 1000 times in the last few weeks.

Weird but pleasant news. I was checking my order status on this set which had still said "processing," when I got a text from UPS that my Mosaic records box will be delivered tomorrow... Interesting. A nice little Christmas present for myself...

I get the frustration but I'm cool with waiting to see what happens with the shipping starts. I had kinda gave up hope a few years ago that Mosaic was going to put out anything other than Blue Note and Armstrong stuff. I've been thrilled with the Desmond and am looking forward to this Tristano release. Personally I'm just grateful they're still around turning out some good stuff. Now can someone get them to find and release some unreleased Betty Carter live please....

I didn't get one either but when I look on their site under my order history it still says processing. I'm suspecting we won't hear anything until the12/26 shipping starts.
