Yes the screen on the Air is not great... That was one of the reasons I eventually went with the rMBP....

I would concur. They dropped the prices. I have an 2013 MB Pro... but the Air is perfect for what you need to do. If you want to save some extra money get it refurbed from Apple...I have bought iPads and MacBooks from there.
