  1. LOL.. Love that one...
  2. I don't get the whole... I wanted it thing... not to want it... We know that Mosaic does use consumer feedback (e.g., people and boards like this one) to gauge potential interest in a set... It would seem to me that if you wanted it then... why not now? (If for one was never interested in Threadgill, Braxton....)
  3. My problem with all of these Hip-O-Selects is not the music... The problem is they are over-priced and the packaging sucks.....
  4. Really sad... I had the serious hots for her in an Unmarried Woman.... I think I was 13 or 14 at the time... First "R" rated movie I saw by myself.....
  5. They're working now... In any case I ordered my set today...
  6. You guys are nudging me..... What I would say is that Windows 7 is a very good operating system... Still too bloated but much better than what Microsoft has done before....
  7. I have to say that I'm considering switching... I thought the Ipad was kind of a joke... but the apps in the Apple store do have me intrigued.... I might wait until Verizon gets the Iphone and then consider it.
  8. Wish I could go... But I just did order the CD from the Jazz Legacy site... and I'd definitely be interested in the French release.... :tup
  9. Looking forward to it Laurie... How many CD's will it be??? Is that the next planned release?? thanks for doing all of this!
  10. I hope this is an approved release and Laurie is getting something out of this....
  11. I was DEFINITELY one of the skeptics. Anybody know where Cindy went to???? She was truly fantastic! So now it's just Scott, Fred, and Michael? Yes.
  12. Nice piece!!! Makes me want to crash over there sometime...
  13. I'd have to agree with the Lee Morgan votes... but I'd have to add my fave... Michel Petrucciani...
  14. last night I purchased their Teddy Wilson gig at the Great American Music Hall from 1977.. Figured for $7 it was a good way to determine whether I might be interested in the Storyville box....  http://www.wolfgangsvault.com/teddy-wilson/concerts/great-american-music-hall-march-18-1977-1st-set.html After listening to it... I'll pass.... :beee:
  15. I'd vote for that....
  16. I'm still waiting for my Betty Carter Select (esp. the live stuff from her label).... I'd also take some unreleased Michel Petrucciani
  17. yes it's our friends from a deriative of the Fresh Sounds label.. They also came out with the Coleman Hawkins and Eddie Lockjaw Davis 3CD sets earlier... I got both of those and ordered the Red Garland. As many problems as there are with the non-royalty issues.. these sets are very well made....
  18. I'm up for it....
  19. Has anyone called to preorder this??? I tried and they wouldn't take my money....  Said they needed to wait a few weeks to get a more solid release date.... <_<
  20. I thought the Okeh set went up to 1929????
  21. Can't wait on this one..  Wonder if any of this stuff contains live performances (which hopefully would exceed the 3 min barrier).... Anybody know????
  22. I've noticed they have several major artists in this series... What is the story with this series???
  23. Okay I guess I should venture into this one.... Hard to choose... But the Village Vanguard box, Blood On the Fields and the new JALC Vitoria Suite come to mind... Just replaying the Symphony Swing show on PBS and that's very good....
  24. I caught the last ten minutes online but have it on the DVR... Will watch this weekend. (I predict within 5 posts this will generate into another Wynton bashing thread.... which gets really tiring... )
