The “Awful Waffle” is nothing like Denny’s. Not even close. It’s an experience all unto its self. No place converges all walks of life at 2am like a Waffle House.

I listened to an interview with Jeff gold on KCRW today. Basically he said he is a music memorabilia dealer and someone wanted to sell him their collection. When he started seeing the pictures he surmised they were one of a kind and the world needed to see them and thought a book was a good way to get them out there. They’re apparently pictures the clubs would take of patrons, develop them during the show and then try sell them to you as you left. Sounded like he found the pics and became fascinated with them and started researching. Good for him, I’m more intrigued by this book now.

Definitely. I was surprised that Pat Patrick went for what it did. I think there has been multiple reissues. I know of the P-Vine one from a couple years ago for sure.

Agreed. Hell of an auction. I was outbid on all 5 items I bid for. They all seemed to be inflated by the bidding process.

I agree. Great stuff. As a classically trained audio engineer (I want to sound fancy since I rarely use my skills) I love stuff like this. I picked up a couple Edison wax cylinders in South Dakota on vacation a couple years ago. Used for display purposes only.

If you hear anything let us know. I’d like to get them as well.

I picked up the vinyl bundle from Sen Morimoto which included his new self titled album and his previous release Cannonball.

John Surman - Anglo-Sax. Picked this up today and a local shop that has appointment shopping. Not sure why they gave this a different name and album cover for the US.

For $20 that’s a good haul. The power bank and wireless charger probably put you over $20 easy. I started using wireless chargers in hopes to avoiding replacing cables when manufacturers switch charging ports.

I’m familiar with Grex version, and from the video with Henry Kaiser they appear to be two different takes on the same inspiration so they shouldn’t have an issue coexisting. If I remember correctly Grex did a set in the valley of a love supreme also with Vinny Golia a couple years ago. I wanted to go but going to the valley is something I do much anymore.
