Avid is one of those pd labels that doesn’t have a good reputation. I’d avoid them.

This hits the nail on the head. I listen to the Muses or what was reissued on 32Jazz consistently. I’ve only listened to the Roulette box once.

Perhaps I should have asked how old were you when you bought your first Mosaic set.

True but I did ask if you purchased Mosaic sets. It’s interesting that most people started purchasing them years ago, which makes sense.

The last session is wonderful. The one with Russell Garcia and strings is so so.

I thought it might be a worthwhile endeavor to see the age of people who buy Mosaic Records sets, whether from Mosaic, Jazz Messengers or third party sources like eBay or Discogs.

A very strange discussion but maybe TTK is just trying to get people going. My thoughts on this are closer to Lon’s. I like what and how they do it. They may be selling to white men but I’d be curious what the age group of buyers are. Perhaps a poll is needed. I have no interest in 78s so I don’t think that part holds up.

Almost done with this. Interesting book although not really a spy novel, which is what I expected. Not sure what to turn to next. May do a re-read of The Honorable Schoolboy or Claude Simon’s The Flanders Road. As I like to read both non fiction and fiction books simultaneously I’m currently focusing on
