  1. I’d forgotten that. Still got my copy of the offending CD.
  2. Trunk have just printed off a batch of these (sold out within the day). Replicates an art deco style poster used for a late 1960s concert.
  3. Looking forward to this one.
  4. and hopefully no embarrassing mistakes with spellings of Herbie’s name !
  5. Ridiculous price for a copy with pencil marks !
  6. Still waiting ! Hopefully I’ll get the package on or ofter the 20th, when the CD set is issued via udiscover. As long as it arrives by Xmas !
  7. That’s the one I was thinking of, Daniel. The Hill box - yikes !
  8. Wasn’t there someone on the Board who had many of their boxes destroyed due to a youngster using them for Playtime construction projects?
  9. Hiroshi Tanno - A wonderful jazz vinyl mail order dealer from Japan (ran a shop as well I believe). He closed shop over a decade ago now but back in the day his listings were full of gems - reasonably priced too and invariably immaculate condition. Mr Tanno is missed !
  10. My King pressing of that one from Mr Tanno needs to be dug out.
  11. Yes, there was a Jimmy Smith Jazz 625. See this old thread here - http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php?/topic/44160-jazz-625/
  12. Just ordered the new Herman box - along with the Mobley and Bing on last chance. My first Mosaic order for a fair old while.
  13. Disk 7 - ‘The Elements’ + Flora Purim tracks + ‘Black Narcissus’.
  14. I think Jazz Record Center in NYC does that outer sealing up of boxes such as Mosaics too.
  15. This Princeton Exchange place sounds like the ‘dog’s proverbials’. Too bad that it is thousands of miles away (or maybe a good thing - for my wallet! )
  16. Mail has just been - I got a couple of party political flyers.
  17. Just found an original copy of this gem in Oxfam. Superb stuff - turns out that this is the ex Surrey Library copy. Now has a good home. Many interesting articles, including early reviews of 60s Blue Notes, Nessa releases etc.
  18. What ? I think my set must be a bit delayed due to the CD set to be shipped with it. Damn ! I will console myself with spinning some original Tubby Fontana..
  19. I saw that group too - I think it had Frank Strozier on alto though and it might have been Idris Muhammed on drums. Unfortunately, I didn’t take notes ! Ronnie Scott’s, circa 1980.
  20. That’s a great price for the Maynard set - presumably CD version?
