  7. That looks disgusting! Just two nachos to deal with that slurp would be optimistic..

  9. Sorry to hear this - good luck with your search. From what I hear it looks as if things are starting to pick up in the US so hopefully some of that will rub off.

  11. Remind me that when I retire I should haul myself and my un-opened Mosaic boxes up to Manchester..

  14. Good move - I really should try that - starting with the Lester/Basie Mosaic when it arrives..

  16. No doubt ! (lots of Mosaic listening time coming up ). Factoring in though my current Mosaic churn rate of about 2CDs of a box per year.
  17. Interestingly, on the recent BBC film showing of Sonny Rollins at Ronnie Scotts 1974 he was strongly featured on soprano. Some excellent footage of Harley in action on that film.

  19. I'm sure that the King pressing will be brilliant - so too the Toshiba. The NY USA stereo is the best version of this classic that I have heard though. Not heard the mono..
  20. Sadly, suspect you might be right. I've got the feeling that it came out as a 'Conn' (Wally in the run-out) LP - that might be a cost-effective way of getting the LP. I've got the MM and think I might have an 'Hello Tosh..' vinyl - will check over the weekend. Don't think I have that one on the Conn CD.
  21. And by the time the whole thing has been listened to once, it'll be time to retire. I prefer shorter, more manageable packages like the Complete Commodore Mosaic Vols 1 to 3.
  22. Yep, certainly affected the US. The European RVG CD issue went ahead though. It was the political sensitivity issue, as you say.
  23. I agree. Not a Taylor fanatic but definitely a fan and LP set owner and I too am sleeping easy over this one. When I saw this one in the shops my first instinct was inner outrage that they would have the cheek to rip off the Mosaic so blatently.
  24. Best way to find that one is on the French 'America' label LP release - which is how I got my copy. An original on the Charles Mingus label though would be a pretty mythical beast, I suspect.
