  1. As these others have said Dan, best of luck! For me, I want to continue to improve my health with exercise and better eating and hydration. I want to some time this year find a nice part-time job that will be fun and bring me in some income. And I want to live with my woman. . . I so so so miss the domestic life with a loved one.
  2. Many many happy happy returns!
  3. Sound quality is pretty good for broadcasts, etc.
  4. DEFINITELY not a Bob James.
  5. Many Many more happy returns!
  6. J&R had some great deals on Concord/OJC box sets. I picked up the Lightnin' Hopkins for cheap.
  7. Whew! I was beginning to worry about you!
  8. Yeah, really. Alexander is sounding like Clem!
  9. This was a very funny and touching movie. The "romance" was well played even if not quite as convincing to me (who is actually living within a friendship turned romance) as it may have been to others here. Kevin Smith has really learned how to incorporate the gross with the truly moving and he's at the top of his game in this movie.
  10. I was banned too. Came back a month later just because I could and post a little because. . . I haven't yet really figured that out!
  11. Hope it was a great one, and many many happy happy returns!
  12. No that was Philly Joe Giraffe's gig and he and Mobley were on the outs at the time over a drug deal gone bad.
  13. The Trainchas are pretty nice. I was visiting a cute former coworker of mine and she was playing one of them, and I liked it. It is the Metropole Orchestra after all, nice arrangements, she has a very nice voice, nice interpretation of the songs. I ordered them and am glad I did. Easy listening in a positive sense, dinner music maybe, date music maybe (I'll find out!)
  14. May you have wine, girls and good times!
  15. Many many many happy happy happy returns Guy!
  16. I have to say I love this music. . . always have, I still have a copy of "Happy Moods" I bought in 1973 because I couldn't take my dad's copy off to college. That lp was a favorite since 1967.
  17. Ed Motta has a new one out, Chapter 9. He plays ALL instruments (and very well) and it's his first all English album. Rock with a Brazilian nutty flavor and mellow funkiness.
  18. Thanks for the update Hans. This is wonderful, timeless music.
  19. Many more happy happy returns Daniel! We can't do without you!
  20. Welcome back, you were sorely missed!
  21. Saw this picture and made it my desktop. . . nice color! (I have the same bike in "vivid black.")
  22. "Shame be to him who thinks evil of it" (although it is sometimes re-interpreted as "Evil be to him who evil thinks" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honi_soit_qui_mal_y_pense
