      👍Picked up the RCA long time ago for cheap (couldn't believe it, same artwork!). Glad I did, the BNs, Impulses, and Columbias are favorites!

      You get it! I share an office space with my wife at home, and she LOVES sunlight, which shines on my cd shelves and book cases everyday, which I know the sun is having its way with my stuff! She's a chemistry professor and researcher, yet she doesn't know the damage direct sunlight inflicts on colors that get burned out of existence?! If I had my druthers, I'd hire a team to take out that window, and replace it with a wall, so I can control the lighting.

      Thanks for that link! Clearly, the archived version of that issue is of better quality than my copy! I see pages like this and wonder about being around that scene in those days, but the reality was "worship from afar." I think that's what makes it magical for me in the end -  that it's "Music From Across the Big Swamp" (which is the way I related to it in those days). On the other hand, AACM was very much from this side (initially) and the "other" side (musically): Cozmozodiac/Triad Radio Guide (Sept. '71):

      I found Devers comment when this series started to be disengenuous at best ("if they had asked me in spring training to take grounders at 1B, I would have").  At the start of the season they were protecting his shoulders and had Casas recovered from his rib cage injury, with Romy Gonzalez behind him on the depth chart. There was no need for Devers to work at 1B then, the need became acute when Casas went down again. And his interest in the team was zero, because he was still butthurt over being replaced at 3B.   I guess I should watch to see if John Henry takes on some salary to improve the team this year or if it really was to free up money for his other interests. That would be truly pathetic, even if dumping Devers was the right thing to do. Is Harrison under team control long enough to enjoy his bright future?
