This one really hurts. 

Jack Dejohnette was not only one of the greatest and most original drummers.   He was a titan of jazz music in every aspect.  Irreplaceable!

Terrible news for the beginning of the week. I'd only recently pulled out the ECM Special Edition set for a re-listen.

Jack was on so many great records with so many great artists.  I liked a lot of his leader work, especially in the 70s and 80s.

A giant and legend.
