I'm not sure, but I think catesta also passed away. I joined in December 2003 if I remember correctly, but I hardly post here anymore. Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted yesterday at 11:21 AM Report Posted yesterday at 11:21 AM Kinda wild that weāre only a couple years from being a quarter of a century old ā as an online forum.Ā Quote

It's a little fuzzy now, but I seem to remember that the Blue Note board members who joined the AAJ forum when it closed, weren't warmly received there. I think that may even be why this forum became the landing spot for most of those posters. I was a long time member of both the forums and remained a member of the Jazz Corner forum until it closed. jazzbo Posted yesterday at 12:17 PM Report Posted yesterday at 12:17 PM March 8, 2003 I joined. I remember flailing about trying to find a new home after the BNB fell apart. . . and landing here to stay very happily for fifteen years or so. Ā Quote

I asked Tom Evered several times to join up here but he wasn't interested. People may not remember, but he got a lot of grief during his time on the Blue Note board. Some of it was warranted, some was totally uncalled for. I didn't blame him for not joining up as it probably would have just stirred up some people. Tom passed away in August of 2024. Quote
