Looking online, Discoleccao looks promising for jazz, moreso than Sound Club.
Man, looking at pics of this city makes we want to return badly. One of my most favorite vacations ever. Enjoy your time even if nothing pans out on this front.
Wow, good luck. I’m assuming you’ve been there before? Went for the first time a few years ago, 2018 I think, and loved Lisbon. Don’t remember seeing a dedicated music store but 3 days there as a first time tourist left no time for it.
Thanks for listing this out. It seems this could be something one could study for a PhD
agree on Duke’s trio records. Didn’t expect much when I started Piano in the Foreground but wow, what an excellent record.
Very sorry about all of that. No idea how to help other than finding out if there’s a support group she can get into. Also, don’t know what y’all’s tolerance of delta 8 or 9 CBD products are but microdosing that has helped some folks I know with mental relaxation and sleeping. Other than that, definitely plan a long vacation. I recommend something by the ocean with varying degrees of remoteness so that checking your phone or laptop isn’t easy. I do hope y’all can find some resolution. Neither of you are alone in these struggles for what that’s worth
Been listening to some Hubbard BN leader dates and while uneven, especially in comparison to Lee Morgan’s albums, they’re overall good records. Have to agree his best work is as sideman however.
That Azymuth record is the bomb. Leaning toward picking up that reissue from Jazz Dispensery. Glass Bead Games is always excellent and Moon Rappin' has groove. Not sure how the Moody Blues crept in here, but the listen was better than expected. Hayward has some nice solos and as a psych period piece it's a fine album. The overt enthusiasm for acid that permeates the entire record is entertaining.
Playing Looking Ahead now and had to look up the vibes player. Surprised to see such a limited discography but he may have unfortunately passed too soon as noted above. Really enjoy him on this album
Another helpful tip for getting by those pop ups is to not allow temporary files from specific websites via your browser’s settings. That seems to work well with Twitter
While I don’t really enjoy what I’ve heard of that big band album, there’s 3 others I don’t have and the improved SQ, potentially informative liners and support for Mosaic put me in the market for this. Blue Spirits is a sneaky good album that I’d like to hear the Mosaic treatment on. Should be better than the RVG CD I have.
Wasn’t Sun Ship originally released on Impulse? So the ability to dip into that catalog may have been there since the pre-UMG days but maybe that set was a special case…?
