    • I received a rather beat up box from The Lost Recordings yesterday, though the LPs and CDs were intact in spite of the badly torn cardboard. I haven't had a chance to listen to the John Coltrane set yet, but I am looking forward to it. A second shipment arrived today, duplicating my order. I await a reply from them about that, it would be a rather expensive error.
    • I didn’t have my laptop with me when I did my morning listening session–I started off with the 2 cd Japanese bootleg “John Coltrante–Creation”, . . then moved on to Duke Ellington “Jazz Party in Stereo” Mobile Fidelity gold cd, then on to Dizzy Reece “Comin’ On” Blue Note Connoisseur cd. Now, hours later Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra “Handful of Keys” This is one of their good ones.
    • Thanks for weighing in Chris. I'm hoping they will release a cd or UHQCD version.
    • By the way: I did just receive this Coltrane Finland recording from Lost Recordings.  The engineering in the final mix is quite good and with a very high-quality 180 g pressing, so the sound is terrific!  I already have the 1961 Helsinki concert via the European tour compilation "So Many Things" (CD) and the 1962 Helsinki concert via the Le Chant Du Monde European tour box set (also CD) EXCEPT THAT "I Want To Talk About You" (from the 1962 show) was never released on any recording -- bootleg or otherwise, based on the John Coltrane Reference -- so this is likely a first-ever issue of that track!  This Lost Recordings version has a MUCH higher quality sound than the other versions I have, so I'm glad to have it.  What's more, it comes with an access code to get a complimentary download of the entire 2-LP set in lossless .aiff file format -- which is easily converted for digital backup to a burned CD.  I took a chance on it, and am very pleasantly surprised at the outcome!
