    • Several realiable sources report that American jazz clarinetist and tenor saxophonist Ken Peplowski passed away on February 2, 2026. He was 66 years old. 
    • On to Tom Harrell “Oak Tree” High Note cd I love Tom Harrell’s music more and more. Re-listening to his discs they seem to open up to me and reveal new subtle “cool” aspects. I really like all his High Note releases.

    • That would be the logical thing to do I guess. Though it's tricky for the label to release with much fanfare if the tapes really don't sound good. Perhaps the answer is a digital release akin to the Fugazi Live Series (currently 750 shows) where people can pick and choose what's interesting to them and download for a few dollars.
